Sustainable development, at the heart of Amelia
Aware of the current ecological challenges, Amelia strives to propose an offer that is both adapted and sustainable. With our Amelia Green project, we are actively participating in the construction of the tomorrow’s aviation.
Our goal is to be pioneers in the decarbonisation of regional aviation.
The development strategy is based on 5 pillars:
- Amelia offers a recent and diversified aircraft fleet to meet every need.
- Lighter cabins, digitalized entertainment, rethought on-board service: less on-board weight also means fewer polluting emissions.
- An eye on the future: Amelia studies all options offered by manufacturers and supports them in their development and understanding of the market.
- Amelia crews are made aware of and trained in best practices and eco-piloting: reduced speed, optimized trajectories, adapted procedures.
- Amelia carries out its own maintenance: guaranteed reliability and performance for its aircraft.
- Amelia continues to improve the environmental performance of its operations, in particular by focusing on non-CO2 effects in partnership with Thales.
- Hydrogen: as a major player in regional transport, Amelia’s ambition is to operate hydrogen-powered aircraft as early as 2026, thanks to its partnership with Universal Hydrogen.
- Sustainable aviation fuel: Amelia is already using sustainable aviation fuels to reduce its environmental impact. The use of these fuels reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80%.
- In 2021, Amelia launched the Amelia Green project to bring initiatives supporting the sustainable development of its activities together under a single umbrella .
- Amelia deploys various actions to increase awareness among is employees.
Amelia is involved in the main European and global initiatives, in order to :
- Accelerate the decarbonization of air transportation.
- Support the deployment of zero-emission solutions.
Amelia also works with major players in the aeronautical sector on innovative projects:
- Development of hydrogen solutions in France and Europe.
- Carrying out carbon footprint audits.
