Our story
Founded in 1976 by Alain Regourd, Regourd Aviation has gradually established itself as a major player in the aviation sector in Europe and Africa, combining safety, high standards and punctuality.
The group first developed an aircraft purchase and sale activity before broadening its scope to include flight operations and opening several dedicated subsidiaries.
In 2019, the group decided to create Amelia to unite its European activities under a single banner.

An integrated Group
We are a fully integrated aviation group, supporting the care and maintenance of our aircraft, and the marketing and operation of our flights, from our European and African bases.
We are an international aviation company with a business aviation DNA.
The African footprint
Our subsidiaries Equaflight and Equajet, located in the Congo, are key players in the country’s aviation sector.
Equaflight, launched in December 1996, operates regular flights, first between Pointe-Noire and Brazzaville, then between Pointe-Noire and Port-Gentil in Gabon, with a return trip on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The company also operates flights dedicated to companies and governments in the region.
Equajet, founded in 2008, offers an activity focused on private flights on demand. This sector is in high demand, thanks in particular to the mining and forestry sectors which are very present in this part of Africa.
The European development
In 2012, the group acquired Amelia International (Aero4M), a Slovenian base and line maintenance company for helicopters. Since then, Amelia International has grown significantly, becoming an IOSA-approved airline (AOC EASA) and a CAMO centre.
In 2015, the Group created Amelia Tech (ex-Airmain), its own maintenance subsidiary. Based in Saint-Brieuc, Amelia Tech is dedicated exclusively to the Group’s aircraft which allows Amelia to carefully monitor its fleet and comply with the highest EASA & PART 145 standards in the fields of European maintenance, quality and safety.
Following the creation of the Amelia brand in 2019, the Group is consolidating its presence in Europe with the award of two AOCs, one in Slovenia (Amelia International) and the other in France (Amelia). This deployment is taking shape with the first scheduled routes operated under its own name: first, Rodez – Paris Orly, then Brive – Paris Orly and Strasbourg – Amsterdam.

In 2021, the group’s French airline, Amelia, obtains IOSA certification.
In order to accompany its growth and to anchor its presence on the French territory by supporting regional economies, a second maintenance center, Amelia System, opened in Rodez in April 2021.
