The HORIZON Program
The HORIZON program embodies Amelia’s Corporate Social Responsibility, managed at the Group level and implemented by all its subsidiaries.
It is structured around three fundamental pillars: sustainable development (Environmental), collective development (Social), and responsible development (Governance).
Our HORIZON2027 roadmap, which presents our objectives and the concrete actions to achieve them, is based on this vision.
Sustainable Development - Environment
2027 Objectives
40% reduction in CO2 emissions per seat-kilometer compared to 2019.
25% decrease in energy consumption (gas and electricity) per employee compared to 2019.
Our actions
Environment – Sustainable Development
Amelia implements a series of concrete actions to reduce its environmental footprint, notably through the evolution of its fleet towards more efficient aircraft, the optimization of air and ground operations, the experimentation with more effective taxiing procedures, and the gradual integration of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The Group also supports innovation to prepare the future of air transport with pioneering solutions that limit its impact.
Reducing Our Environmental Footprint
An Evolving Fleet : The renewal of our fleet is a cornerstone of our impact reduction strategy. In 2024, Amelia integrated 3 additional Airbus A320s, doubling the fleet of this aircraft type. These additions significantly improved operational performance with aircraft that consume less fuel relative to the number of seats. Following the same logic, the progressive introduction of the Embraer 190 starting in summer 2025 will allow for a 25% reduction in fuel consumption per seat-kilometer compared to the ERJ145, while targeting the charter and ACMI market.
Contrails: Condensation trails generated by aircraft constitute a significant portion of aviation’s contribution to global warming: 20% for Amelia. In partnership with Thales, Amelia has adjusted flight itineraries to reduce the climate impact of contrails by up to 70%. Since the start of the collaboration with Thales in 2022, Amelia successively implemented trials to avoid these phenomena starting in mid-2024, and has since deployed these practices on a large scale since spring 2025. This pioneering initiative is expected to considerably reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
Air Operations: At Amelia, the continuous optimization of our air operations is central to our mission, ensuring both performance and environmental compliance. In 2024, we significantly reduced our fuel consumption and associated emissions by adjusting flight speeds and trajectories, resulting in a decrease of up to 6% depending on the flight. Our Operations Control Center and crews are actively sensitized to the impact of trajectories and prioritize the most direct routes. The year 2024 also saw the launch of the DECOR project (Démonstrateur d’opérations ÉCO-Responsables), in collaboration with key partners such as Thales and the DGAC. This project aims to improve communication between air traffic control and airlines for a greater reduction in the environmental impact of our flights, including non-CO2 effects.
Ground & Maintenance Operations: Ground, turnaround, and maintenance operations are also subject to constant attention: regular cleaning of engines and aircraft to limit consumption (ECOPower technology), selective waste sorting, and optimization of lighting and heating in facilities.
Amelia also collaborates with partners, notably the ADP Group and Dassault Falcon Services at Paris – Le Bourget airport, to promote the use of zero-emission electric equipment. In 2023, the teams successfully validated the possibility of servicing an aircraft on the ground using exclusively electric equipment.
Amelia has also experimented with extended towing procedures using low-emission or electric tractors to reduce consumption and noise pollution (estimated fuel savings of 40%) during taxiing phases, which typically represent an average of 10% of fuel consumption on a flight.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF): Regarding Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), Amelia actively integrates this solution into its emission reduction strategy. SAF is a fuel produced from renewable raw materials (such as used oils or biomass), which allows for a significant reduction in CO2 emissions compared to fossil kerosene, while remaining compatible with existing infrastructure and aircraft, achieving up to 90% reduction over the fuel’s life cycle.
In 2024, SAF represented 3.6% of the Group’s total fuel consumption, which avoided the emission of the equivalent of 802 tons of CO2 through its use, notably at Amsterdam airport. This commitment illustrates Amelia’s dedication to relying on lower-carbon alternatives.
Since 2024, Amelia also offers all charter clients the opportunity to benefit from SAF offers compatible with operations carried out via a Book & Claim mechanism, or through physical deliveries of SAF when possible.
Optimizing Our Infrastructure and Energy Consumption: Conscious of the importance of our ground operations, we are committed to reducing energy consumption in our buildings.
Initiatives are already underway to optimize the most energy-intensive areas, and we plan to integrate electricity from renewable sources into our future contracts, along with regular monitoring of our consumption per site.
Our goal is clear: a 25% decrease in energy consumption per employee by 2027 compared to 2019.
Preparing for the Future
At Amelia, our commitment to sustainable air transport translates into a proactive and ambitious approach to preparing for the future. We are actively investing in innovation and collaborating with the entire ecosystem to develop and introduce the solutions of tomorrow.
Supporting Breakthrough Innovation: We are committed players in the energy transition of the aviation sector. We explore and support the development of ultra-efficient solutions, whether hybrid, electric, or hydrogen-powered, to meet future market needs.
As a founding member of AZEA (European Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation) and a member of the advisory committee for Embraer’s Energia range, we actively contribute to defining the necessary evolutions for the introduction of these technologies.
Strategic Partnerships for Concrete Solutions: Amelia collaborates with major industry players to advance research and development. We are notably a partner in the ALRIGH2T program, selected by the European Commission as part of Horizon Europe. This program aims to study and test the integration of hydrogen-powered solutions for ground support equipment in our airports, in collaboration with the ADP Group, Groupe Europe Handling, and INERIS.
Founding Member of AZEA (European Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation) and member of the advisory committee for Embraer’s Energia range.
Collective Development – Social
2027 Objectives
Increase operational consistency by +0.5 points compared to 2024.
Achieve an average training duration of 4 hours per employee per year.
Our actions
Social – Collective Development
In the social sphere, Amelia is committed to its teams by fostering the integration of new employees, providing training, and working for quality of life at work. The Group maintains high operational performance, expands its international presence by addressing specific needs such as medical evacuations, and actively works toward gender equality while supporting sponsorship and community initiatives.
Our Teams
Our teams, the true heart of our company, are composed of passionate men and women whose mobilization and cohesion are essential to the success of every mission. As of the end of December 2024, the Group employed 389 individuals distributed across 4 main divisions.
The year 2024 saw the integration of 126 new employees, an increase of more than 30% compared to 2023, supporting the growth of the Group’s activities. This development was accompanied by hundreds of hours of regulatory training provided and the welcoming of apprentices.
The Group also benefits from an age pyramid that has naturally balanced over the years. This allows for an ideal balance between expertise, innovation, and the transmission of skills.
Gender Equality Index
Amelia / Regourd Aviation’s score for 2024 stands at 89 points out of 100. This score, significantly higher than the 75-point threshold required by law and substantially above the average score for companies in France, reflects the company’s values and its teams’ commitment to upholding the principle of professional equality between women and men.
An agreement on professional equality between women and men for the 2025-2028 period was signed in 2024 to continue the Group’s actions in this area.
Amelia works to promote women’s access to all professions, particularly pilot positions (4% female pilots at Amelia, compared to a national average of 7%).
Our Operational Performance
Amelia’s commitment to high operational performance is demonstrated by a regularity rate of 97% in 2024, a significant achievement given the complexity of our operations in often hard-to-access niche markets. This reliability is a pillar of our responsibility towards our clients, ensuring the continuity of their travel and the efficient management of our resources.
Driven by a logic of continuous improvement, we have set an ambitious objective of a +0.5 percentage point increase in regularity performance by 2027, by optimizing our operational processes and the continuous training of our teams. Our absolute priority for overall operational safety is also reflected by our IOSA certification, guaranteeing the highest international standards for all our air activities.
To achieve its goals of regularity and flexibility, and to support its future deployment, the strategic development of its in-house maintenance capacity, under Part 145 approval, is a priority for Amelia.
Currently, hangar maintenance is exclusively performed by our teams for the Embraer and Learjet fleets. The expansion of our facilities in Rodez planned for 2025 will significantly increase our capacity for Embraer aircraft, ensuring optimal availability of this fleet. Finally, the development of dedicated hangar maintenance capacity for Airbus will be crucial to support the Group’s continued expansion.
Our National and International Commitment
Amelia is also actively engaged with communities, demonstrating its flexibility and ability to respond to crucial needs.
Since 2020, our presence in Mayotte for medical evacuations illustrates our responsiveness, ensuring vital patient transfers and playing an essential role after events such as Cyclone Chido.
In Slovenia, since summer 2024, our subsidiary Aero4M has been ensuring the maintenance of the country’s firefighting fleet, guaranteeing rapid intervention in case of emergency and underscoring our contribution to civil protection.
Furthermore, our involvement in regional routes, occasionally under a Public Service Delegation (Délégation de service public), as we did between 2020 and 2024, connecting regions like Rodez and Brive to Orly, testifies to our territorial anchoring and contribution to local dynamism.
Sponsorship / Community Support
Although Amelia is a fast-growing company, our societal commitment is also reflected, with humility, by occasional support for initiatives that resonate with our values.
In 2024, we had the privilege of supporting Annouck Curzillat, a French para-triathlete, via a “Performance Pact” with the French Sports Foundation, thus recognizing the qualities of determination and team spirit that we share. Additionally, our employees have mobilized, for example during the AéroRun, for causes such as Aviation Sans Frontières. These actions, though targeted, reflect our desire to contribute modestly but concretely to local dynamism and the spirit of mutual aid, recognizing that every gesture counts in building a more supportive future.
